Royal Gunpowder Mills Today

Following closure of the site by the Ministry of Defence in 1991, a charitable foundation was set up to safeguard the site in perpetuity.  

Work to date has been made possible with support of the Heritage Lottery Fund and the Ministry of Defence.  The Trustees are committed to conserving and sharing the fascinating 300-year history with future generations and any support through volunteering and donations is very much appreciated.
