Our insightful and engaging walking tours offer a unique opportunity to safely explore some of the restricted access areas of our historic 170-acre site.

An expert guide will lead you on a 2.5-hour guided tour, taking in structures like the E-Traverse, Quinan Stove, Grand Nitrator, and Press Houses. There will be plenty of wildlife and nature spotting opportunities, too; with the Mills being home to a herd of Fallow and Muntjac deer, one may very well make an appearance on your walk! Seasonally bare trees give way to a different aspect and view of our historical buildings on our unique heritage site, making it an ideal activity for a keen photographer.

Your visit will start with Tea, Coffee, and an introduction to our knowledgeable and experienced guides in our cafe at 9.45 am, with the walk commencing around 10 am. The walk will return at approximately 12.30 pm, where you can indulge in a hot drink and biscuits (included in the tour price) to warm up. If you'd like to bring a packed lunch to enjoy after your walk, please feel free to do so; You can take the opportunity to get to know new people and discuss your experience.

Please be aware that the terrain is uneven, and strong footwear is recommended. Toilets are available at the start and end of the tour but not en route.
