Up to £16,000 (or pro rata) according to experience.  Can be part-time or full time 20 to 35 hours per week, with core hours starting 9.30.       

This is a role for a hard working person with a 'can-do' attitude, who has strong organisational skills and values team work.  There is scope to develop the role while you assist the Chief Officer and her team in daily tasks and projects.  The role is mainly office based, however there are often tasks that need to be seen to on site.  Enjoyment of a varied workload, very good IT skills, and keen curiosity is a must. 

Role Purpose

The purpose of this role is to support our hard-working team in carrying out their varied workloads. You can expect to be handling phone and email enquiries, website work, setting up rooms and hospitality for groups and seminars and ad-hoc duties.  As you get deeper into the work there will be opportunities to develop the role.

Education Officer

Are you passionate about history, heritage and nature? Do you have experience of delivering educational workshops to children? Can you engage with children and young people effectively?

We are looking for a strong team player with good organisational skills to join our teaching team to deliver engaging and fact-filled educational programmes here at the Royal Gunpowder Mills.

This is a flexible role, offering an average of 2-3 days’ work per week (during term time only) with a combination of ‘half day’ and ‘full day’ work patterns.
