The story continues, a passenger carrying railway gets ever closer to completion. As before the railway group have been fighting the weather (wet though not too cold as yet).

The first carriage awaits a final coat of floor finish, it has been test run and all is working well.

The Baguley Drewry locomotive has had mechanical and cosmetic work carried out, and is nearly ready for service.

A further two Trecwn box vans have been dismantled, one chassis has been off site for shot blasting, has been returned and the bare metalwork primed in readiness for construction of carriage number 2.

The brake van/personnel carrier is in the process of being fitted with air piping and safety valve system, it also sports a new coat of paint.

Four platform modules are now in place and have had decking fitted. An access ramp is under construction (Southern station).

The Northern station has one module in place (the remaining three will be finished under cover and positioned when complete, weather permitting).

200 tonnes of ballast has been delivered (ex Network Rail) and is in the process of being installed on the track.

As ever the railway group are seeking volunteers especially to help run the trains ie drivers, guards etc. If you are interested please contact Liz Went (Volunteer Manager) on 01992707340.
