Fayre Times Festival: 19 - 20 September

The Fayre Times Festival is a celebration of History, Folklore and Fantasy. It brings together Historians, Re-enactors, Live Action Role-players to inform and entertain visitors. There will be talks by Historic Writers and Writers of Fantasy and Science Fiction, displays in the main arena from Vikings, Knights, Men-At-Arms and Soldiers of the Second World War as well as battles between Humans, Dwarfs, Elves, Goblins and Orcs. There will also be static displays where you will be able to look at both historical and fantasy camps and see how people lived in different times and realities; traders selling goods from all periods of history will be present which will be of interest to re-enactors, LARPers and visitors.

You and your children will be able to take part in Knights School and learn how to battle just like your favourite Historical, Fantasy, TV or Film hero. You will also be able to enter our Archery completion and win a prize; also take part in table top role playing games and war gaming battles so that you can go away from the day having written your own legends. In addition, you can interact with the re-enactors and performers and learn about how people lived in times gone by and you will be able to expand your knowledge of Britain’s past and other Fantasy worlds. This event promises to be a day of high adventure for each and every member of the family.
