Air-Powered Rockets (KS1/2/3) Topic Description Students will be introduced to concepts such as gravity, friction and acceleration by making and launching their own air-powered rockets. KS3 students will have the opportunity to devise their own fair tests, gather data and report findings. Students will have the chance to explore our Rocket Vault which holds a range of rockets from an early 19th century gunpowder rockets to mid 20th century British sounding rockets. Please note Air Powered Rockets half day sessions do not include our interactive science show - see our Rocket Science (KS2/3) for more details. Details Air Powered Rockets half day sessions are 75 minutes in length. Morning session: 10:45AM – 12:00PM Afternoon session: 12:45PM – 2:00PM Mix and match with another half day session to create a whole day visit.
